Still in the process of understanding the co-relation of words ,their meaning and their phrasal meaning, this is my first attempt at typography with one of my favourite quotes. Well this piece of work which entitled “the inspiration” definitely has no complex elements but simple ones such as the play on font to depict phrasal meaning without actually having to explain it in words. This work on the whole takes inspiration from one of the famous contemporary artists Lawrence Weiner who is know for is simplistic “text installations” in and around structures. He too experiments with various fonts, scripts and well numerous words with his firm belief in the fact that words are capable concept art elements. Using similar principals I have used simplistic fonts to represent drab and un important content while elaborate fonts highlight the key points or main concept in the work.
